Simmer Dim

Saturday 20th June is the Summer Solstice - the longest day of the year. On Shetland, the most northerly point in Scotland, the sun doesn't set but dims into twilight.

In 2018 I took a group to Mousa to witness the return of flocks of tiny stormy petrels to their roosts in the crevices of an ancient broch. An unforgettable experience!
